Just in time for the Platformers’ Days 2021 and around 2 months after the last innovation, RUTHMANN now announces the new STEIGER® T 330 XS with 33 meters working height to the trade visitors. With a length of 8.43 meters, the new working platform with the suffix XS is around 40 cm shorter than the previous STEIGER® T 330 and therefore the most compact and still the only 33-meter working platform on a 7.49 t chassis on the market. The new STEIGER® T 330 XS now reaches 21.75 meters outreach - almost 60 cm more than its predecessor.
The shorter overall length and the reduced rear overhang make the STEIGER® T 330 XS even easier to handle in confined spaces. It is very manoeuvrable due to its wheelbase of only 3.90 meters. The new RUTHMANNSTEIGER® T 330 XS is suitable for many fields of applications from building cleaning to tree-pruning where working platforms with a GVWR of over 7.5 t were used until today. The now increased basket load of up to 350 kg combined to the particularly high outreach opens up further interesting application possibilities.
More compact boom heads in the telescope for a shorter vehicle overall length
Such as with the STEIGER® T 300 XS, the RUTHMANN engineers have been able to reduce the length of the retracted telescopic boom on the new STEIGER® T 330 XS. This is made possible by an optimized and more stable boom profile and the more compact boom heads of the STEIGER®s T 330 XS which have made their proof in a similar form on the RUTHMANNSTEIGER® T 900 HF. The turret construction of the STEIGER® T 330 XS has also been further optimized. The weight could be further optimized and the stability increased due to the new geometrical shape. The maintenance of the turret could significantly be reduced once again compared to its predecessor.
The new stable base frame enables extraordinary performance
Thanks to the shorter base frame, also employed in a similar form on the STEIGER® T 300 XS, the chassis could be shortened accordingly. RUTHMANN relies here on jack boxes and turret tube also made of high-strength fine-grained steel in order to achieve a high torsion resistance and maximum performance data.
Comfortable jack control stand with monitor at eye level
The popular jack control stand from the TB/TBR range introduced in 2019 is now mounted on the STEIGER® T 330 XS. The new control stand is optimally integrated on the chassis at eye level and offers further comfort functions in addition to the flexible stabilization types. Clear and well recognizable switches that can change their colors never leave the machine operator in the dark.
More basket load and proven operation
The basket load has been increased by a further 30 kg to achieve a maximum of 350 kg thanks to the stable new telescope design of the STEIGER® T 330 XS. This places the STEIGER® T 330 XS on the same level as the recently launched STEIGER® T 300 XS.
Like the STEIGER® T 300 XS, the STEIGER® T 330 XS can be equipped with all working baskets of the T range, e.g. with tree-pruning basket and insulated working baskets or the large 2.1 m wide large working basket. As usual by RUTHMANN, this can be carried by 2 persons in just a few steps.
The proven and robust basket rotating device of 2 x 90° is also standard on the T 330 XS.
The modern RUTHMANN Cockpit with several comfortable functions and real-time readable operating data is mounted. It provides the working platform operator with all relevant data at all times. In addition, important vehicle data e.g. fuel level are now displayed.
Multi-chassis concept
RUTHMANN relies on the multi-chassis concept also for the STEIGER® T 330 XS. The working platform can be mounted on different 7.49 t up to 8.6 t chassis from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, or Iveco.
On roadshow from autumn
Anyone who would like to experience the new truck-mounted working platform can register for the roadshow in autumn at the Platformers‘ Days or to make an appointment for a test drive with the STEIGER® T 330 XS at www.ruthmann.de/t330xs
