RUTHMANN Italia resumes operations

RUTHMANN Italia resumed operations on 04 May 2020. Since the beginning of the spread of coronavirus, the company has implemented many measures to ensure the safety and health of employees, customers and suppliers. On 23 March 2020 RUTHMANN Italia was forced to close down its operations, as required by the Italian authorities.

After six weeks of shutdown, the Italian subsidiary has now resumed work.

Considering the safety guidelines of the Italian authorities, all work areas have been revised in accordance with the prevention and hygiene measures. The production works in two shifts in order to reduce the contact between employees to a minimum. All employees have been provided with personal protective equipment and it is ensured that the required safety distance can be maintained.

„We are in constant contact with the local authorities to assess the situation continuously and carefully and will act immediately should further steps need to be taken in line with the Covid-19 situation.“ says Gianni Marti, Managing Director of RUTHMANN Italia.

RUTHMANN is looking confidently into the future and is pleased that some of the daily routine can now slowly return. The first BLUELIFT and ECOLINE models were delivered just one week after resuming operations. Many BLUELIFT have been shipped all over the world and several machines have already made their way to Germany. Five ECOLINE RS 240 have been loaded and are now on their way to the headquarters of the RUTHMANN Group in Gescher.
