RUTHMANN STEIGER "S"-Variations

Aerial platforms for professional applications. The “S” in this model stands for “senkrechte stuetzen”, which is German for “vertical jacking”. This vertical jacking feature is the most notable difference between the standard versions and the “S” models. Vertical jacking is possible because the 4 hydraulic jacking cylinders are flanged directly onto the basic frame of the STEIGER ®.

This standard feature allows the “S” model to be jacked within the contours of the vehicle for all jobs. Even at its full performance capacity, traffic can continue to flow, uninterrupted.

The T 275 S shown here has been mounted onto an economical and environmentally friendly Mercedes Benz “Econic” chassis. The low lying driver’s cab on this vehicle is especially designed for easy and comfortable access. The natural gas powered option available, makes this STEIGER ® the perfect aerial platform for power companies and communities.

On the T275 S and T300 Smodel, the variable turret assures that the boom system doesn’t project into traffic lanes.

Due to the enormous jack lift and permissible inclination of up to 5°, all models in the STEIGER ® T- Series can be positioned and operated safely despite rough and sloping terrain.
