After having completed the year 2017 successfully, RUTHMANN starts 2018 with a very tall order backlog as well as encouraging new orders.
The RUTHMANN group consisting of the companies Ruthmann GmbH & Co. KG, Ruthmann Finance GmbH & Co. KG, Ruthmann GmbH in Austria as well as Ruthmann Italia Srl. and Ruthmann Schweiz AG, achieved sales in 2017 of around 152 million Euros. Compared to 2016 (143 million Euros), it means a significant increase.
All business segments, primary the STEIGER®, ECOLINE, BLUELIFT and after-sales service segments were able to post significant growth and to achieve new record sales.
For the current financial year 2018, the very good order backlog and actual projects point to ongoing solid results which will probably reach those of 2017.
The manager Rolf Kulawik comments: “RUTHMANN improved in all segments in turn the productivity increased. The modern Shopfloor management enables a better integration of each employee.
In 2018, the capacities will further be expanded in order to offer our customers acceptable delivery times. We would like to be a good partner for our customers.”

New innovations such as the STEIGER® TBR 250, TB 290, T 510 HF, TU 285 and the HF range with the T 650 HF, T 570 HF, T 750 HF but also the new products ECOLINE RS 240 and BLUELIFT products enjoy buoyant demand from both domestic and foreign customers.” We were therefore able to implement quickly our strategic goal of internationalising. However, the core market remains in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, says Rolf Kulawik, Manager.
Uwe Strotmann, RUTHMANN’s General Sales Manager adds: In 2017, we intensively worked on the expansion of the after sales-services. A top service is very important for us and our customers benefit from this with our leading offer and from our qualified staff, shorter journeys and our top workshop equipment. The new Ruthmann video system enables the service technicians to contact directly engineers in our premises, if necessary. New hardware and service software have been used. It is therefore not surprising that we reach more and more customers and that we increased sales in 2017 by a further 1 million Euros over the previous year, with now more than 17 million Euros. However, this doesn’t mean that we are now going to rest on our laurels. The expansion of the after-sales service will continue in 2018. After the inauguration of our new service building in Groß-Gerau near to Frankfurt, we are pleased to offer our customers the best conditions now also in Geisenfeld near to Ingolstadt. In 2018, we will also finish the construction of the new service station in Borkheide near to Berlin. In Merkklingen near to Ulm and to the motorway A8, our customers dispose currently of a modern Ruthmann service station with a competent team. As usual, we will shortly provide additional comprehensive information about this.”
At INTERMAT 2018, RUTHMANN celebrated two world premieres according to the motto « SKY Visions » and introduced the new SKYperformance STEIGER® T 900 HF as well as the new spider platform BLUELIFT SA 31. The next innovations for 2018 have already been announced. At Platformers‘ Days 2018, the visitors will admire the new ECOLINE 230 as well as the new RUTHMANN e-generation.
